Searching after Limited edition bronze foxes statues art collections? Bronze sculptures are perfect for a special gift occasion or if you want to infuse some art in to your home. Depending on the size and complexity of the piece, the original sculpture is coated with multiple layers of a liquid silicone mold material, which is then covered with a thick layer of plaster. Molds of larger pieces are made in sections. Desk Buddy molds, being a little smaller, can be done in one piece. Each essentially creates a perfect negative image of a particular sculpture. At this point, hot wax is poured into the mold to create a solid wax piece. Each wax will later become a bronze.
I went on a total fox jag a while back. I just love their forms and inquisitive natures. With these sculptures I’ve mostly explored foxes looking and behaving naturally, as well as engaging in a bit of my usual anthropomorphizing. (Man, I wish there was a shorter word for that!) This is Attention to De-tail, an elegant piece filled with great lines. My goal here was to create a lyrical design that celebrated the grace of foxes. This quiet moment allows me to explore the fox form in repose, instead of in action. There is no rushing here; we are allowing the fox to truly give attention to every detail. This piece exhibits all the hallmarks of my work, such as curves transitioning into planes, highlighted dimensional lines, complex and rich patinas, and a bit of complementary texture. Even though this fox is in repose, the graceful line from the tip of the tail to the nose is reminiscent of the movement of my dance sculptures. And as with another of my fox pieces, EnWrapture, I continue to explore the juxtaposition of texture with smooth surface. I love how the rock supports the fox and allows for a new interplay between two complementary patina styles. See more info at Fox bronze sculpture.
Advice for getting bronze art appraised: Have an authenticity statement. The easiest way to know the value of your piece is by having an authenticity statement from the artist. A certificate of authenticity ensures that the piece was made by the artist, and it goes a long way in determining the new value as the piece ages. If the bronze sculpture is something you have inherited, you can potentially contact the artist to receive more information on the value of the piece.
Bronze statues cleaning: The best cleaning solution to use for your cleaning your outdoor bronze sculpture is (drumroll please) … soap and water. That’s right: just use a tiny bit of dish soap in a clean bucket with a clean rag. Don’t use too much soap or else it may leave a residue. You’ll want to avoid any bleach-based products or scented options. Dip a clean rag into your soapy water and get to wiping. If your outdoor bronze sculpture has numerous tight spaces, use a soft toothbrush. This toothbrush can also be helpful for getting the hard-to-remove debris off such as bird poop.
I take great pride in creating art that is meaningful and stands the test of time. Whether it’s a gift to another or a gift to yourself, each piece evokes true emotion and appreciation for those who feel drawn to adopt one. You’ll see three lines of work on the site: My limited-edition bronzes are aimed at those who appreciate truly high-end fine art. My “Desk Buddies” collection make the energy of my work just a bit more accessible. And my experimental one-of-a-kinds; truly unique pieces that incorporate a variety of materials and concepts. About Laurel Peterson Gregory : My Creative Process: My process typically begins with careful scrutiny of the anatomy and movement of my intended subject. Dozens of digital images and sketches later, the subtle positions, relationships, and attitudes of my animal characters capture the feeling and story I seek to convey in the piece.
