When we couldn’t fit the Savage into the X-ray or Whiskey-3 Chassis, we went back to the drawing board and came up with a unique Savage Chassis design that fits all of our design criteria. Keeping with the theme of lightweight and ergonomic, the 180-Alpha, at 3.5lbs, is one of the very few chassis under 4lbs (one other being our X-ray). Despite the low weight, it keeps all the important ergonomic features as well as mounting options for slings, night vision mounts, and other accessories. Like all of our chassis, it accepts AICS magazines (not included) right out of the box with no bottom metal purchase needed, and it has the tried and true V-bedding system cut into the aluminum backbone.

Midas 2-Stage Trigger: The Midas trigger from KRG gives you that 2-Stage, fully adjustable goodness that you’ve been needing for your Tikka T3. The factory trigger is pretty decent, especially with a spring adjustment, but the Midas trigger takes your T3 to another level. You won’t feel like you’re giving up much to a full blown TRG-22/42 when you have a Midas trigger with a nice comfortable shoe plus: Adjustable 1st and 2nd Stage. Adjustable over travel. Adjustable fore/aft shoe position. Overall possible adjustment range of about 2lb-5+lbs though we do not support any setting lower than 2.5lbs in order to be compliant with SAAMI drop safe specs. Today, company members have been responsible for three small arms designs, parts of a fourth, and a few accessory items unrelated to KRG. The first rifle was a modular straight-pull bolt action rifle called the Ballista, the design of which was purchased by an outside company. The second was the Magpul Massoud .308 semi-auto rifle (and parts of the Magpul Masada/Remington ACR, completed by KRG’s lead designer while he was working for Magpul. The other rifle is an evolutionary step for semi-autos that combines all the best features of gas guns produced to date in a nice 5.56 sized platform. This has been shelved for now as we concentrate on our main interest which is precision bolt guns and gas guns.
